In a global context where extremist discourses spread easily—online as well as on the ground—it becomes essential to offer an alternative voice that is lucid, educational, and courageous.
Ashteret acts on several complementary fronts:
1. Raise Awareness and Educate Against Hatred
We conduct awareness campaigns and educational programs to combat racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, discrimination, but also the essentialization of cultures and religions.
Our content is aimed at various audiences, particularly younger generations, helping them develop critical thinking skills when faced with violent or simplistic discourses.
2. Deconstruct Extremist Discourses
Ashteret publishes critical analyses and gives voice to experts, thinkers, and actors on the ground who dismantle the logics of indoctrination, the rhetorical strategies of radical Islamists, and the mechanisms of identity-based radicalization.
The goal: to demystify without stigmatizing, to explain without trivializing.
3. Encourage Dialogue Where Polarization Reigns
We create spaces for intercultural and interreligious dialogue, where diverse voices can meet, listen to each other, and confront their viewpoints in a respectful, rational, and calm framework.
These dialogues are conceived as antidotes to the logics of confrontation and echo chambers.
4. Create an Active Online Presence
Ashteret uses its digital platforms and networks to publish clear, accessible, and well-argued content to counter the proliferation of hateful, extremist, or conspiratorial content.
We believe that the battle of ideas is also fought on the digital terrain, and that the best response to violent discourses remains informed, free, and responsible speech.
