Ashteret — Reinventing Knowledge, Reviving Dialogue

Ashteret is an independent intellectual initiative that aims to renew access to knowledge, revive intercultural dialogue, and combat all forms of extremism, hatred, and discrimination.

We live in an era of identity tensions, ideological fragmentation, and cultural blindness. Ignorance of the other, the saturation of biased information, and the rise of extremism and obscurantism fuel divisions and undermine the very foundations of democratic life in Europe, and blind entire generations in the Middle East.

In response to these dangerous trends, Ashteret aims to be a free and rigorous space: a place for shared reflection, critical exchange, and transmission, as well as a platform for voices from the Middle East.

We advocate for an approach to knowledge as a lever for emancipation, lucidity, and lasting peace, far from oversimplifications and slogans.

Ashteret speaks to those who refuse to choose between freedom and memory, between spirituality and reason, between commitment and nuance. It is a project rooted in intellectual rigor, but action-oriented, serving enlightened coexistence and a dialogue between worlds.
