{"id":24,"date":"2025-03-27T12:46:28","date_gmt":"2025-03-27T11:46:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ashteret.org\/?page_id=24"},"modified":"2025-04-25T15:56:01","modified_gmt":"2025-04-25T13:56:01","slug":"front-contre-lantisemitisme","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ashteret.org\/en\/axes-strategiques\/front-contre-lantisemitisme\/","title":{"rendered":"Front contre l&#8217;antis\u00e9mitisme"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>A Front Against Antisemitism<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deconstructing the Culture of Hate through Education and Critical Discourse<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of Ashteret&#8217;s pillars is to <strong>identify, deconstruct, and replace the narratives of hate <\/strong>that fuel violence, exclusion, and conflicts in contemporary Arab societies and cultures.<br>Among these narratives, <strong>antisemitism<\/strong>, often disguised as<strong> virulent anti-Zionism<\/strong>, plays a central role in building <strong>a culture of rejection<\/strong>, particularly in certain educational programs, religious discourses, and media spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ashteret is committed to breaking these toxic logics by proposing a lucid, educational, and transformative approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our lines of action are clear:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. <strong>Denounce the Demonization of Israel as a Political Dead End<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Presenting Israel as an absolute evil or calling for its destruction constitutes neither a j<strong>ust response nor a solution<\/strong> to the crises in the Middle East.<br>On the contrary, these stances maintain regional instability and prevent any dialogue. Ashteret advocates for a strategic vision where <strong>Israel is perceived as a potential actor for regional cooperation<\/strong>, an opportunity, and not as a scapegoat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. <strong>Promote a Constructive Approach to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Ashteret defends <strong>an interpretation based on mutual recognition, shared memory, and historical compromise,<\/strong> far from the binary logics of hatred or victimization.<br>This is not about denying suffering, but <strong>refusing its instrumentalization <\/strong>in the service of resentment or perpetual war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. <strong>Highlight Critical and Progressive Arab and Jewish Thought<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>We spotlight<strong> Arab, Jewish, Israeli, or Arabic-speaking intellectuals from the diaspora<\/strong> who advocate for coexistence based on justice, dignity, and memory.<br>Including thinkers who recognize Zionism as a legitimate form of <strong>Jewish self-determination<\/strong>, while pleading for a peace based on shared responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. <strong>Expose the Hypocrisy of Authoritarian Regimes<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Ashteret denounces regimes and policies, in the Arab world as well as in the West, which, <strong>while financing or supporting extremist movements like Hamas<\/strong>, repress their own minorities, censor free speech, and prohibit any democratic life in their countries.<br>The critique of antisemitism goes hand in hand with <strong>the critique of regimes and political parties (in Europe) that instrumentalize the Palestinian cause<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5. <strong>Act on Education and Representations<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>We propose a <strong>critical rereading of educational content, textbooks, public and religious discourses<\/strong>.<br>Our goal: to promote a<strong> pedagogy of pluralism, historical complexity, nuance, and human dignity for all<\/strong>\u2014without hierarchies of suffering or essentialization of identities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Ashteret thus aims to contribute to a cultural shift: <strong>breaking away from narratives of hatred and closure<\/strong>, to foster a collective consciousness capable of envisioning coexistence beyond ideological antagonisms.<br>Refusing antisemitism also means defending the integrity of contemporary Arab discourse and opening <strong>a path towards a more just, lucid, and humane peace.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Front
