Letter to a naive West: listen to us

Jordan has just officially banned the Muslim Brotherhood.
This bold move reminds us — those of us from the Middle East — of a truth we have long known: the Muslim Brotherhood is not a mere political movement.
It is a force of domination, a source of extremism and violence.

Meanwhile, parts of the European far left are parroting their talking points without critical thinking, and European governments continue to fund their networks, especially in Syria, under the guise of humanitarian aid or civil society projects.

We, who have witnessed the Brotherhood’s rise and suffered under its grip, issue this warning:
The Muslim Brotherhood and political Islam are not normal political parties.
They are fundamentally anti-democratic, exploiting democratic systems only to ultimately destroy them from within.

They do not seek coexistence; they seek domination.
They do not defend minorities; they seek to impose a radical, regressive, and violent interpretation of Islam, wrapped in a deceptive political façade.

Do not be deceived:
The Muslim Brotherhood’s ideology and influence have directly spawned the worst terrorist movements of our time.
From Egypt to the Palestinian territories, from Syria to the heart of Europe, the Brotherhood has inspired and nourished groups like Hamas, Al-Qaeda, ISIS, and others that have sown terror, destruction, and death.

Closing your eyes to their infiltration, legitimizing them as political actors, or funding their institutions is poisoning your democracies.

History is warning you.
The voices of the Middle East are warning you.
The survivors of Islamist oppression are warning you.

Will you listen?

Listen to courageous voices like @lalshareef, who expose the reality of political Islam without compromise.
Listen to us — those who have paid the price for your naivety.

There is still time to open your eyes.
Tomorrow, it might be too late.
